I look back fondly at the entire golden era of Astros baseball. Not just the season or two you choose for me. ****, I’ll even reminisce about the Colby Rasmus years if I feel like it.
Exactly none of us are qualified or have the information to know if a non-manager is doing a good job or not.
Me too... and a major portion of it happened without half the guys you posted. Seems you're posting more after the Astros started struggling. Guess you suddenly "feel like it".
Considering we only have 7 wins... it feels like the season just started... lol. But man, this hole is getting too deep. I guess it wasn't "just spring training" when we were crap.... Edit: I didn't realize this is their worst start since 1969...... whelp, only 1 team worse than us in the AL and 1 with one less win in the NL.... Time to build that farm system back up. Sellers...
The Rotation is so bad. The Replacement Pitchers need their Replacement. Need 2 Starting Pitchers warming up before the Game. It is always the First 3 Innings giving up Runs.
Right, right.. It's only seems stupid because "prisoner of the moment" is easy to do. ____ Let's really consider what has to happen for Astros' missing the playoffs... 1) Verlander, Framber, Javier will all have to underperform/get injured 2) Bregman will need to finish 200 OPS points below his career average 3) Chas needs to finish 200 points below last season 4) First base (namely Abreu) needs to finish notoriously on Guinness Record, both offense and defense 5) McCullers either never pitches or sucks 6) Yordan finishes 200 points below his career OPS 7) Hader continues his worst season ever 8) Pressly continues his worst season ever 9) Astros play nothing but 90-win teams on average (in games not played against Houston) every game. 10) Opponents win the "luck" factor -- strike calls, bloopers, etc -- damn near every game 11) Abreu finishes +3 ERA above his career average 12) Blanco regresses to a 6.00 ERA 13) Brown continues to set notorious history of "2nd season vs 1st" futility 14) France misses Mexico AND most of the major league because he sucks all season, majors and minors 15) Astros set the record for one-run loss% 16) Espada learns nothing.... and Crane does nothing in return 17) FIVE players get their first career hit for a HR 18) Garcia and Urquidy either 1) never pitch or 2) they suck while attempting 18) The sun suddenly starts rising in the West So yeah.... if most of that happens, the Dynasty that is the Houston Astros might lose 90 games this year. Most likely, they will win 90+ games.
THIS Many fans are just stupid. Crane sent Bagwell to go talk to Abreu about signing here. Bagwell goes because Crane asked him to, and now Bagwell is responsible. It's tiresome, and ignorant Click was already targeting Abreu for the Astros when he got wacked.
Yep... and don't forget Montero was planned to be resigned too. Astros overpaid, but Astros fans shouldn't forget Click's intentions were re-signing Montero.
