atlanta picked up two guards....just wondering this late in the offseason who do you guys think got the better end of finding guards
Jon Barry can play defense. Kenny can't play in games because he can't play defense. Jamaal Tinsley started ahead of him at Indiana. Additionally he got absolutely creamed in the playoffs when Jamaal was taken out of the game. Id love to have Jon Barry on our team because of his heady, emotional play. But if I have to choose them as a package, Id take Sura/Ward over Anderson/Barry combo anyday.
That's actually pretty close. KA and CW are both way passed primetime. If KA is healthy then he would get the edge there but he never played D in his life so I don't see how he would have made it here. Barry and Sura are both scrappy players that can play either guard position. Barry is the better shooter of the two. Sura is 4 yrs younger with a better APG. I'd say we got the better of the two deals but only because CW and KA both suck so bad they cancel each other out...
Yeah, I remember Kenny Anderson used to be one of the best college players on that Yellow jackets team. He sure hadn't done much in the NBA..
