You see, Hader has been even worse and Abreu only looks slightly better standing next to these two guys. And from the files of Bizarro World, Montero has been the best of them all.
That's why I never understood all the excitement over him to begin with. It's great to get along with players and speak their language, but I didn't see why people thought a rookie manager would be better than Dusty.
They knew that coming in hence why certain signings were probably even more considered. They probably didn’t think he was “no leverage situation” old… but he’s got a ton of leverage mileage on that arm as well. Him being awful doesn’t end things… just mitigates the “luxury” they thought they had and now Hader will further need to get his head out of his ass and Bryan Abreu needs to have a clean inning this season (maybe he’s had one?). Montero FTW! Lol….
Because Dusty would choose a catcher that can't catch, throw, hit, run to start over a top 5 catcher in the AL. Dusty is the Doc Rivers of the MLB.
Are you saying the Astros should cut, or trade Pressly? Short of that, why would the team keep using Pressly in high leverage situations until he can string together some good appearence? Wasn't this what they did with Montero? Why not Ryan?
I went to the game, what a disaster. Abreu is atrocious and the Altuve send made absolutely no sense. The Nationals were toasting the 2019 team all day and this loss felt preordained.
Except Dusty wasn’t bad. Idiot. Only one manager who has won a WS is being called bad. That’s hilarious.
We don't have the luxury of wasting all these opportunities. Abreu needs to be off the team after this series and pressly needs to be demoted. Don't care what the back of their cards say. We can't keep rolling out Jim Deshaies level first base production and the human gas can in the 8th and 9th innings.
