42/32/70 splits is not “very good” shooting, especially against backups. Once defenses realized he was going to shoot every time, his averages tanked.
See that clouds your judgement - no one despises Green, we just have a different view on what his ceiling is....it is weak minded to say, people hate, when they share a different opinion. Don't be weak minded. There is room for all kinds of ops about all of our players. We all want what is best for the Rockets, and speculation is the name of the game until someone breaks out. Doesn't mean anyone hates anything...... DD
You don't believe Can has the highest ceiling on this team. You say it because you got this odd fixation with triggering people who like Green. Cam by most NBA analysts have him 5th or 6th in terms of ceiling. Amen has a significantly higher ceiling than Cam. Sengun does, Green does. Jabari and Tari are near the same ball park of ceiling.
He shot 42/32/70 his last 20 games. My point is his averages cratered once teams realized he was going to shoot every time. Predictability makes a defense’s job much easier.
Cam's shooting was hot at the beginning and it got us all excited. He has since cooled down quite a bit. I see that few people notice how similar his offensive stats are to Jabari's, including 3pt%, 2pt%, eFG%, TS%. Jabari has a slightly higher attempts number per game with much more minutes. Cam has the highest FGA per 36 minutes on the team.
Sorry about that. I didn't mean to label you wrongly. The "he's only 19" excuse has been used to defend Cam by the same guy so often I'm sick of hearing it. Most 19 year-olds don't do the dumb, clownish things that Cam repeatedly does when going to the basket in traffic. I do love Cam's sweet 3-point jumper.
Says the guy who now calls anyone with a differing opinion on his boy KPJ a “Kater”…not even clever by the way.
I mean, if the door is open for excuses, he had an LCL injury and came back fairly quickly to play on an injury-depleted team especially missing its best scorer. There's decent evidence that this was a more difficult stretch even aside from teams getting to know him. I'm sure teams had a better scouting report on him, but it's neither right to say he's his season average nor is it right to say he's his worst stretch. It's not a standard thing for rookies to shoot well until teams figure them out. It happens very often that rookies shoot better in the second half. Assuming the reason is dangerous. The fact is there could be several explanations and it's probably a combination of these things.
You're Green adled mind isn't helping you - I don't trigger anyone. I believe what I type. Cam, IMHO, has the highest ceiling followed by Amen and Sengun.....that is what I believe....sorry you can't handle that. Oh, that's a joke on the idiots calling people Jaters. Got to have some fun. DD
Post 1 analysis that says this.....please....from an NBA source...or you are lying out your ass. Pulling the old...."Most people think...blah blah blah" is so Trump like...and full of ****. DD
I love how weak and feeble DD shifts and crawfishes between hypocritical stances. It’s about one every 10 posts that he has to reference Trump. Very weird. Not to mention he is of the ilk that would bash Trump in public, but actually vote for the guy.
Cam's sweet shot guarantees a high floor. But, when you look at him being 19, a manchild...crazy athleticism in the body of a bull...the ability to get it on 3 levels. 28-30 a game one day if he can stay healthy. And, of late he's shown a willingness to share the rock (along with that much better vision than given credit for)...not concerned with his ability to defend or rebound. That will come. Nor about his integration into team ball. It's about staying healthy. Sky's the limit.
We have a lot of lottery tickets, but no sure things. We have guys like Sengun, Amen, and Cam that could all develop into stars, but they aren't there yet. We have guys like Jabari and Tari who could develop into very solid pieces of a winning team, but Tari might not exist anymore and Jabari has a way to go. We have a solid vet in FVV That's potentially "loaded", but if those guys don't develop the way we want, it could be nothing.
