I love him as a player, but, yeah, he absolutely should have been moved. He doesnt bring much to this team. Another lost opportunity for our GM, but good for JaeSean!

He is a likeable but limited guy. Good locker room presence.

    Definitely deserves it.

Rox got him undrafted and during his stint he provided veteran presence and was a solid locker room guy.

As fans we only see the players in the court but the coach and GM also need players who have positive impact off the court.

His value at its height is just 2 second round pick and I'm sure Stone can still trade him anytime he wants for 1 SRP. 1 or 2 SRP doesn't really matter at the end of the day IMO if Ime wanted him to stay then he stays.

Exactly, his value was never super high as an asset off the team but he's been one of the adults in the room that the coach can lean on.

I think you trade Tate as part of a bigger deal for salary matching or just keep him around as that end of the bench energy guy.

Tate has been a solid role player. He's a 9th man and a pro.

If he ever learned how to shoot, and cut down on the fouling, I truly believe Jae’Sean can become a valuable player on any contending team.

However, at his height, if he cannot stretch the floor then his value is very limited. He’s around the age when PJ Tucker figured his shooting out, so I still have hope he can have a similar mid-to-late career renaissance.

And as others have already mentioned, he’s just a likeable, hardworking player who deserves everything he’s gotten

He is good if he can stop forcing shots. He can be a decent defender.

Happy for Tate. Wish he could figure out the corner 3 then he could have a PJ Tucker type career. Might not have a long time left in the NBA currently.

Udoka likely favored Cam over him for offense and development but it’s certainly not for defense, effort, and passing within the flow of the team game.

    He had an ankle injury

Seemed he turned a corner with 3 ball first couple weeks of the season. Just needs to work on this shot and also going to his right.
