The Assyrians have doled out a lot of punishment (two thousand years ago), but they also have endured a lot of hardship as well. They certainly do not like Muslims and see them as the largest threat. However, they don't really like Israeli's either - but unlike Muslims, they will marry Jews and Westerners.

The Assyrians were doing reasonably well in Iraq under Sadaam Hussein. He protected them, and they were wealthy. They were screwed when the US came into Iraq.

Islamic fundamentalists are terrible and intolerate - I will not arge otherwise.

My point isn't that Israeli's are terrible - as there are many Israeli's that are good people - my point is that some of the talking points, being pushed by Zionists are really flawed. The idea that Israel is the only nation on earth that is run by and for Jews doesn't mean much. There are countless groups of people that do not have a home land, and contrary to what some think - their plight is not as unique as they believe. Also - I have had some Jewish friends say "well we are the chosen people", and that doesn't mean much either to be honest.

Israel exists because the Ottoman Empire lost - England took "Israel" and then after WWII did not want a lot of Jews flooding into the UK, so they were more than happy to encourage settlement in "Israel". The United States AFTER WWII did encourage to some extend Jewish settlement in the USA (which was the right thing to do and has worked out very well for the USA), but were also glad to encourage settlement in Israel.

Egypt wasn't happy that Israel existed - and threatened Israel early on, and attempted to hire Nazi scientists to produce missiles and rockets.

Egypt has largely survived from the determination of WWII Jews, crafty special intelligence and the financial aid of Jews worldwide and US support.

Agreed. They are not breaking the law, and as long as they continue to not break the law, they can stay - as unsavory as it may be.

The Assyrians arguably are not Christian now - at least not in any form that would be recognized in the West.

The Assyrians were the first Christians, the man that carried the Cross was an Assyrian that converted upon seeing Christ on the cross.

The Assyrian version of Christianity is VERY old, and very Pagan in a lot of respects. They are very superstitious people, and they will mention and even pray to "Gods" and entities that existed before Christianity. They believe in the "evil eye" and they believe that Assyrian Christians opened the ground and defeated an evil demon that was poisoning an entire town and then paraded the demon through the streets.

They often have crucifixes and will talk about praying - but their idea of Jesus is nothing like the Jesus in the West.

Just to clarify, in that last paragraph you meant to write Israel not Egypt?

    It really isn't.

I don't want to be involved in someone else's conflict.

If that conflict were to ever become mine, I will fight it, but there is no straight line to be drawn from "Israel is destroyed" to "existential crisis for America".... nor do I buy the idea that supporting Israel reduces the amount of fundamentalist Islam in the world.

    Correct.

Israel is the term I meant to use in the last sentence.

@Nook funny how @AroundTheWorld was claiming the IDF wasn't preventing trucks from entering gaza and how there was no famine.

Weird how the amount of trucks entering gaza have doubled since biden threatened to cut off aid

Lolol begging hamas? Israel has not been in a ceasefire for the past 5 months. How about Israel's inability to defeat hamas when they were given a blank check by USA.

It's just hilarious how right wingers bootlick Israel at every step without blaming their disastrous army

Israel is just at the frontline of a global conflict. This conflict is already in your backyard, whether you like it or not.

Hint: The same people who chant "Death to Israel" also chant "Death to America", and they are already in your backyard. Unfortunately, the way you will be reminded of that (other than the hate marches that are already happening and you don't seem to care about) will be a very unpleasant one...the next Islamist terror attack on US soil. It's a matter of when, not if. Basically, the same stuff that has been happening to Israel for decades.

The indiscriminate firing by the IDF is probably what killed the hostages. And the forced famine.

Even if I'm generous and I grant you that all of these people turn their ire to the US as soon as Israel is no longer around, I still don't give a ****.

The lesson of the last 20 years is pretty evident. If they show up in America we put them in jail and those that don't go willingly get the bullet, as is law.

Ridiculous premise. Israel isn't threatened to cease to exist. These terrorist organizations can claim that as their goal, but they are no where near capable of carrying those horrific goals to fruition.

Israel has an insurmountable massive military superiority.

Is this an actual sincere post from you?

Over a million in brink of starvation, ya you are going to need armed men to make sure the aid doesn't get ransacked by a mob of hungry victims of ethnic clensing.

    Go away.
