This idea that Biden is suddenly rooting for Hamas is a real stretch. Biden hasn’t actually cut aid to Israel. It’s the Congressional republicans that have held off aid. Given how close the election is this is more likely a political move to shore up Biden’s left. My own guess is that while Biden might rhetorically criticize Israel he won’t make any major changes regarding aid until at least after the election.
The Israelis have done a 180 and fired numerous people so they believe obviously biden will cut off aid if they don't change. Biden should pressure them to supply more aid. Hes not doing anything wrong
I support cutting off aid to Israel while Bibi is in charge, which I supported before the Hamas attack. Our support isn't unconditional.
That’s totally not what I was saying. I’m not a John Lennon idealist as much as I’d love to be. Im referring to a more formal military alliance that gives Israel something to lose if they step out of line from and has everything to gain from a defensive position. Obviously there are reasons that Israel cannot join NATO but there has to be a way to come up with a similar type of alliance to both secure defensive power that thwarts off threats, helps finalize two state sovereignty, and creates incentive for Israel to stay in line. Maybe that’s idealistic too.. who knows but something has to at least be proposed with not just Biden but our extended allies as well. Those who are able to partner. One things for sure though is that nothing with be solved by “war harder”. There is no path here with wiping Palestine off the face of the earth. There’s no way for that to succeed and not lead to more war… likely involving us:

The entire Western world is facing the same threat Israel has been facing, aggressive and supremacist Islamism, with all the terror that comes with it.
