    Rangers don't even make the playoffs with Diaz playing regularly. They are only there by a game.

    Maldy was better prepared as a catcher, but Yanier has better intuition when it comes to calling a game. Yanier had a lower ERA last season even though he never got to catch for any of our top of the rotation guys.

    LOL. Aren't we something like 4th in starter ERA? And that's without our bonafide ace. And how if the f*** are you forgetting the disastrous starts Maldy caught in the playoffs last year?

    As did Vasquez the year before.
    Maldonados prowess in calling s game and leading a pitching staff is just a complete and utter myth. His ERA numbers have been worse relative to the backup for years now.
