The Brooklyn Nets are in the worst position of any NBA franchise. They aren’t competitive and don’t control their future picks the next 4 years. They even got a lifeline back to relevance [Rockets trade offer] but somehow turned it down! This is a look at how one trade can ruin and NBA franchise.

No. Horry was actually traded. He flew to Detroit and sat their bench during a game with his body slumped from depression.

THAT'S traumatic, not mere trade rumors/speculation.

Truly one of the weirdest situations in sports history.

I remember AM610 interviewing Sean Elliott from his hotel room here while he was waiting on the physical.

It was a real stunner when the Rockets nixed the deal.

It seemed so random, but then Sean Elliott really did have serious kidney issues a couple years later.

This guy brings up some good (read: terrifying) points about how bad Stone is... and how lucky we've gotten in spite of his idiocy. I don't know how long that can last.

Regarding the Jalen Green trade proposal, Tim MacMahon on the Lowe Podcast said his understanding was that the trade never progressed to the point where the Rockets made a proposal of Jalen Green + all their picks back.

I'd like to think Stone isn't bad enough to have possibly made that proposal in the first place, because regardless of how poorly Jalen Green played for the first 2/3 of the season, Bridges is only averaging 20 points on TS 56%, having his least efficient season in his career since his rookie year. That's not someone you would trade the Net's picks for, let alone with another young guy attached.
