Great start to the season for Peña. One of those few bright spots

 

Ronel Blanco has looked nice in spring and these first couple innings.

 

Hopefully this isn't following the script as game 1. A 4 run lead in the 1st 2 innings. Also, this pitcher might be young and unproven but hopefully this is a confidence boost for bats

 

It may be time for him to adjust the type of bat he uses and cheat some on his stance. If he's having trouble turning on fastballs there's some things to increase some bat speed.

if he doesn't turn it around by mid-end June... his value becomes part of a trade package.

That change up looks like a game changer.

 

Should be even lower if Abreu could catch a baseball.

Javier’s changeup looked great the other day and had insanely good Stuff+ numbers.

I’m curious to see what Blanco’s stuff+ looks like on his change because my goodness it has been phenomenal tonight.

 

Blanco doing a good job keeping his pitch count low. Didn't think it was happening after the 1st.

 

Keep your guards up. The middle of bullpen is so vulnerable. Wouldn't be surprised if this a close one in the end.
