They trapped and blitzed on 90% of the screens set for him. So ya he made a couple of mistakes and held on to it for a couple of possessions. More time than not he made the right read off the double but often it still didn't lead to a score.

I totally agree with what you’re saying. IMO, Jabari is great at creating spacing, especially while he’s hot. But this season just like last it seems like he never really gets plays called for him besides that ATO play into his elbow jumper.

He’s behind Fred, Dillon, and literally even Aaron Holiday in the pecking order when he’s on the floor. I don’t know how much of it is unselfishness or how much of it is by design, but Jabari can shoot, and he’s proven that he can shoot…so maybe he should get a few more shots and make it harder for opponents to trap Jalen.

Thompson did well on Doncic, when he guarded him

I like that analogy....can't argue that much. I LOVE my Rockets but, I'm not sure Jabari will ever realize his true potential for him or the Rockets for the very reason you just put forth. As he develops..especially in the strength department , he will only get better. I believe he is largely wasted on the 3 pt. line. I believe we are not fully utilizing him.JMO.

Not worried about Sengun or Jalen because they are stars and will get the Max this summer or next year and we cannot wait for Amen or Cam. We need to make a move this summer…maybe trade Jabari, Dillion and picks for a Star? Jaylen Brown if Boston collapse? Zion? Paul George?

Boston will not collapse, at least Finals......if they collapse, then only Jrue and potentially Porzingis will go .....but I guess they will run it another year.

Paul George at this point is just second tier star at best and prone to injuries.

We don't need more than two guys who need the ball in their hand to be their best selves. Green and Sengun are enough for that hopefully.

he can be balling out in a quarter or even entire 1st half, and then the next quarter not even have a shot attempt

Jabari is that guy who will have 16 points on 6-9 shooting in the 1st half, and then finish the game with 20 points on 7-12 from the field

Im not sure who youre talking about but I would not have said that. We havent played a fully healthy team of Dallas's level since before Sengun went down.

Absolutely NAILED IT here. I saw 7/10 with like 21pts...ended with 9/14...so was 2/4 to end the game. And he took a couple of 3's there at the end I believe a little out of frustration. But, that's the CONSTANT story what you describe.

    Yes!

After NEXT year, when we have a better idea of what we've got with all these young guys.

The game was lost when Luka dropped 30 in the first quarter and Udoka didn’t start sending a double/trap off those high screens until the 4th quarter. Absolutely awful coaching decision to just allow this guy to iso against Jock Landale the entire game.

I believe Jabari is a victim of too many talents only one ball. On a team with less talent he is a 20ppg scorer. If the core stays together I believe he ends up a Horace Grant type. He goes somewhere with less alphas he would do 17-20ppg. It’s not that he can’t, just the situation he is in.

I like Jalen and Sengun playing together but we need another SHOOTERS. IF, a good team double our young stars our shooters would hurt them…we have no shooters….we need shooters

The Mavs had more respect for Green. That's absurd. Absurdly stupid.
