I think last year's playoffs showed that he doesn't always impact winning, 'cause he got exposed on both sides of the ball. It's good to be a great defensive player but there are moments where you have to be more than that. Same as Green, they are still growing as players. Mobley had the advantage of being on a better team since day 1, with a true PG in Garland and then surrounded by winning players in year 2, something Green didn't have. I'm not trying to say one is better than the other, but i've been lurking here long enough to know how the average poster exaggerates and overreacts here.
Green is showing us all why he was the 2nd overall pick and why taking a player with his potential can be worth the wait. This is the type of player that can raise your ceiling higher and higher. The best part is we don't have to look further than our own roster to find the right players to build a contender. The 3 year tank appears to be worth it all with 6+ good to great players.
