Coogs needed this type of game. Battling all types of adversity all night. The refs, the refs, and they're own lack of discipline and composure down the stretch.
Whistle happy refs hurt strong defensive teams the most. They were essentially the only reason A&M had a chance at all.
Aggies should've just kept driving because they were the quickest whistle at the slightest contact. Dumb to force 3s even though they were drilling them at the end of regulation.
What we just witnessed was incredible. Guts, heart, survived when just about anything that could happen happened. The refs were just terrible. They neutered Francis early on and just about fouled out the entire team. "Of all the wins I am probably more proud of this one" - CKS
Before all the intentional fouls at the end of regulation, they had nearly triple the free throws. Insane. Vegas made a call to keep it close.
Great game, I have no fingernails. Terrible officiating but, I am biased. Got to give the Aggies some credit. They played relentless, had help, missed FT’s and lost.. Let’s go Coogs!!
I can’t believe they held on. The resilience and heart of this team is incredible. But they shouldn’t have had to overcome this level of bad officiating. Both teams are aggressive. Houston on defense. A&M on the glass. But only one team was held in check by the refs. I was joking about Elvin playing meaningful minutes and he actually had to… I’ve never seen a game where nearly every starter fouled out.
