We have way more needs than just a WR. Still need a DT, S, and CB.

Now who do you want with our #42, #59, and #86 picks?

Seems like we’re after Sweat with that second rounder

You can get a starting receiver anywhere back to pick 100 in this draft.

Not a fan. Was down to move back but not that far… 42?! For a 2nd rounder next year… we gave up a first for 2 mid-round 2nds…. Don’t like.

Also would have rather waited to see who was available still. If Brian Thomas, Murphy, Mitchell (x2) were available then this is gonna suck.

Also destroys any chance to move up for Bowers if he falls into the mid teens.

Not a fan at all really. But I’ll try and trust BDN…

The trade sucks. Caserio is the type of gm that thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room.

Yeah, don't know why you make this trade now. Maybe if nobody you wants fall to you. If Thomas, Murphy or one of the top CB's is still available I'd be pissed.

Weird trade tbh. A 2nd Rounder next year is nice, but dropping down 20 spots is a pretty significant drop. Guess they weren’t enamored with any of the WR or DB prospects in the 1st Round or they’re banking on Minny sucking this year and think that pick next year will be an early 2nd Rounder. But why not wait until the draft to make this deal? What if someone you really value falls to 23? Idk. Not crazy about it but hopefully it works out.

Underrated aspect of this trade is Minnesota is not going to be good this year. Tough division and trying to figure out QB. It'll be a very early second rounder next year. Which we will all be grateful for in April of 2025.

Reeks a little of that Kyle Hamilton trade when we had him available.

Brightside is that we may pick uk a high second next year.

My favorite scenario from about a month ago was trading back with the Patriots for their 2nd. This is good too. There is just so much talent at WR in that 2nd round. Edgerrin Cooper had a visit here this week or you can go with Sweat to pair up with the WR in the 2nd round.

    Cornerback looms large.

    I’ll trust Caserio.

IMO this means that either they don’t love the value/players that would be available at 23 and like the value to be had in the 2nd round. OR they have their eyes on a trade where they can use one of those 2nd round picks.

Either way let’s see how it plays out.

If we go after Sweat, which we probably will, our chances of a top CB prospect are gone.

Need to wait to see how it plays out, maybe the plan is to move up a few spots using 42 and we end up netting a 2nd round pick next year.

I like it! I was thinking they could get a little more but I think Minn is going to be so bad next yr. that their 2025 2nd is going to be like a late #1

I’m fine with the trade. We pick up a future SRP and move up in the later rounds. Collecting second round picks has often worked out well in the NFL.
