Because he saves 5 million which is effectively Noah Brown level replacement. He's better than that. If you need to cut him to get an impact player like Armstead, I understand. You wouldn't cut him just to add a guy. If they like a guy like Mike Williams and want to sign him to a prove it minimum deal I'm relatively ok with it as a replacement if they need the 2 or 3 million difference somewhere else.

Yeah slightly concerned here. My guess is the Bengals kept one-upping the contract for Rankins and Caserio held firm at 11M and wouldn't go past that.
