Statue might need to be in talks for Caserio if he pulls off Ridley

2 years/ 25 million is what I'd give him. I'm only wanting him for y'all. I've never been a fan of Ridley. Shaq shut him down in Jax.
Texans only lost out on Barkley to Barkley's home town team. They've been going after another playmaka for Coleridge.

I'd actually rather draft Brian Thomas or Keon Coleman in the first or best available in 2nd round, than pay Ridley. Get a DT and/or S now.

Likely this is just Nick driving up prices on Ridley before the 4pm (eastern deadline).

I still think Ridley goes to Jacksonville.

    But also, where's our safety?!?

Im gonna pretend that these Ridley rumors are real (I just dont see how given available cap and with more glaring needs at CB, S, and now DT) but if it really does happen that would be a huge blow to the Jags. It seemed like him returning to jacksonville was pretty much the outcome with them just waiting for the new league year to start to lower that draft compensation but doing this means we have pillaged from two divison rivals now and would make this offense ridiculous. RD1 would most definitely be a DT or CB if it happens

Not sure about y'all, but I'd rather have Maliek Collins than $3M+ in extra cap room (eating Collins's dead money) and a 7th rounder.

It may be less about the $3MM they save this year and more about the money they would save next year. It's possible whoever they are looking to sign is gonna structure the contract so it more heavily loaded in 2025. Just a guess.

I like this better as well. We need a deep threat to open up tank in the under routes. Brian Thomas/AD Mitchell/Keon Coleman in the first or Xavier (legette or worthy) in the 2nd. And best CB with the other pick.

that being said, I’m not gonna complain at all if Caserio brings in Ridley or Williams on some 1-2 year prove it deals.

I suppose that makes sense. I guess we'll see. I've liked what the Texans' front office has been doing so far this week, so I'll just trust the process.

Every Texans fan that hates or doesn't like Dak Prescott should change your mind. He's holding the Cowboys hostage right now and I love it!

Why aren't the ESPN talking heads who are blasting the Cowboys mentioning this? He is the current owner of the Cowboys and his photo should be in that Tweet.

Haven’t commented on it yet, and I refuse to do it in that ridiculous “knee jerkers suck” thread, but I’m another one that owes Caserio an apology.

in other threads I have actually been a big fan of caserio, defending him against all the “it’s only Demeco” ppl. But I admit, I was very disappointed/frustrated after day 1.

I stand by the fact that I was never saying “the season is over” or “cj should just get out now” but I was upset we missed out on Barkley and some other big names. I also stand by the fact that it’s a sports fan forum, if I can’t be frustrated here then where can I be (my friends don’t follow any team enough to argue with)..

Anyways, sorry for knee-jerking, thank you caserio, and man it feels great to be a fan of a team with a future finally. Wow! Go Texans!

Agreed. LOVE Brian Thomas, think Coleman's a little similar to Nico and still not sure about the two Texas guys.
Like Legette even though he's 6'1'' and more of an all around receiver.

A sleeper/undervalued receiver I like is Javon Baker.

Because of his very long history and relationship with the team, some believe of Mack, Bosa, Williams and Keenan Allen, Allen is the least likely to be cut loose.

It takes two to tango... but give me Elijah Mitchell over a 7th round pick every day of the week.
