    Rockets got a win and Jazz got a loss (to BOS). Team is not close enough for play in but further from the lottery ball.

    Rockets beat the bottom west team (barely), will see how things go for remainder of season.

    I never thought I would find myself praising Jock Landale after contributing to a win but here we are. Nice game buddy. Hold the fort down until Alpi is back (wishful thinking I know)

    Rockets still have 7 games against the Jazz, Trail Blazers, and Wizards.

    They need to be close to perfect -- like 6-1 at least -- in those games to have a chance for play in.

    At this point, I'm not expecting play-in, but as close as they can get to .500 and as many wins as they can wrack up heading into next season is a win—especially considering they're now down three of their best players the rest of the season.

    It's easy to look at the negatives right now considering they're pretty much out of the playoff picture and some of our best young guys are out, but this season has been a success, IMO. They didn't win in convincing fashion yesterday, but the fact that they won a tight game against a rival team on the road despite missing key players shows real growth. That, plus the fact that they've now won four straight road games, which would have seemed impossible two weeks ago. If they can win on the road next year, this is a playoff team.
