This victory is all Fred's... The Spurs were out-Chess'd all damn game against a savvy Vet PG that laid out a winning tempo without his favorite delivery system.
The problem is Jabari's processing speed as a passer. As a play finisher, yes. Makes a lot more sense for someone like Amen to be the screener, IMO.
My comment here is the Rox almost lost this game because at the start of the 4rth quarter Ime put in: Jeff Green Tate Bullock Jalen Green Holiday Like was Ime drunk? Put in a 6'8 center, 6'6 PF and a bunch of midgets vs Wemby and another 7 ft center. That resulted in foul trouble and an 8 PT turn around in the first 3 mins.
Literally the only player ever to get 1000 points, 150 blocks, and 150 assists in his first 50 games. Even taking away the assists, only 2 other players have gotten 1000 points and 150 blocks in their first 50 games: David Robinson and Shaq. He’s without question a top 5 rookie ever already, and arguably the best ever (at least, when debated by people that actually understand basketball).
Anybody can put up stats on a bad team. What's the point of all those PTS and blocks if Spurs only won 14 games and can't even beat Silas and Daishen Nix win total? You say you understand basketball but you are only stat watching. Not sure if Banchero broke scoring records or not but he was a better rookie last year than Wemby this year. People that actually understand basketball would know this.
Yeah I could see that. Jabari wouldn't be best to hit cutters if the ball comes back to him on the faux-roll. But he could be elite on hitting the shot if the other team misplaces the screen. I think that could helped with more movement with other 3 off ball to make the reads easier but hard to implement in season. I just want to see him be utilized more, even if it is as a scorer. Like shoot his shot more like at least Cam's mentality. His place on the team going forward seems set. Just seems like an opportunity for him to be more aggressive especially since he is more comfortable now than he was during his rookie season.
I never said he wouldn't put up stats on OKC though so what's your point? Doesn't matter what his stats are he isn't the goat rookie and top 10 NBA player because he can't impact winning.
