His podcast is pretty good. He had Adam Schefter on which is kinda big for a small local podcast. I think maybe it’s part of a larger network. So he may know some things. Guessing we’re bringing in Hunter.
Agreed....my hopes of some real upgrades is not happening. I guess were just going to replace the starters we lost with another body that may be a tad better than what left is reality. With the schedule we have next year and the way teams are loading up don't have me feeling warm and fuzzy. I trust the process but I would be lying if I said I was excited about most of the players we signed. Maybe the Texans don't think they were as close to a contender as I thought we were and dont want to over spend this year
I loved the logic behind it but at the end of the day, it's not about destination it's about the money.
Money talks, Caserio isn't the kind of GM to overpay. In a league with a hard cap, that's not always a bad thing
If all things are equal, I think the Texans are indeed a premiere destination for FAs. But when the money isn't equal... Considering how short their careers are, I don't blame NFL players for just following the money.
Hunter? Would give us one of those big time impact players you go after when you have a QB on rookie deal and cap space.
Weird he signed for that amount with so many Safeties still available. Maybe GMs don't see him like we do.
The discounts come with a conference championship or SB appearance and those are tiny discounts. NFL players are following the money. It's not like some of these choices were so off base like Barkley going to play with Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. Money talks, especially if the team giving the money has a chance to still be good.
What would be yalls thoughts if the Texans traded for a disgruntled Jefferson and made him the highest paid receiver in the league?
