Featuring Jabari. Let him attack the slower center now on him when matchup presents. Put Amen in.

    Smith
    Brooks
    Thompson

I definitely think it's worth trying at least a few possessions with Bari at the 5 and Amen at the 3/4. We'd be undersized for sure, but if we could push the break we should be able to out run a fair few teams.

I had the same thought, especially against San Antonio. Udoka can't do what he's been doing or they probably won't win more than a few games the rest of the way. Time to get creative!

Bari needs to post up centers and get 20 points with 10 rebounds minimum

Ugh. Yes. That was my other thought...

At least Jalen would be happy!

Listen, this is the only thing to do in my opinion. If they start Jock Landale the rest of the season I am out. I didn't sign up for Jock Landale in starters minutes. I'll check in on the games again in Summer League.

But if they play Jabari at the 5 and put either Amen or Cam in the starting lineup and just run run run - then I am interested.

Yep. Probably so. But no matter who they put on him, they're going to need some help. Udoka has to try something different. Just subbing Jock for Sengun isn't going to do a damn thing. Jock would probably foul out in the first half.

Brooks would guard Wemby. He did a good job on him in the last game.

Jock has been decent now he is recovered from his ankle injury.

9/5/4 on 75% FG in only 17 mins. As Scola would say he looked ok.

Doesn't the "Out" part of 5-Out require adequate outside shooting?

It’s hard to call it 5-out with Green and Amen shooting so poorly but yes I support this. Let’s get all the opponents bigs away from the rim and knife the paint with Green/Cam/Amen.

Russ wasn’t the best shooter when we went 5out . 5 out don’t mean 5 shooters, it means 5 wings or perimeter oriented players.

I think they start Cam and bring Bullock off the bench for scoring, in an attempt to replace Cam's production.

Also, Jalen and Cam have more of a synergy together. But we will see

Amen and Brooks at the 3/4 is a really interesting idea. Amen can beat any forward off the dribble even if they sag off him. Destroys them in transition. Brooks is too slow and not a great decision maker in transition it would be better for him to go against bigger players so this might work.

The one problem with this is Amen is a good rebounder but Brooks is a terrible one, probably the most disappointing in the rotation. He has to step it up there and help Jabari and Amen fight for rebounds. Jabari will have to get a bit meaner for sure.

I think Amen/Cam/Green would flourish in that role. Running a PnR where your big man can pop out for the 3 or mid range would make them very dangerous from the perimeter with the opponents rim protector away from the basket. They can’t catch up with our super fast wings. Can also cause the defense to collapse and leave our corner shooters open more often.

I’m sure we’re going to see a lot of this with Sengun out.
