Question is what running back can we sign that gives us the best deal to make the overall team the most talented?
TRUST... I don't want it to be true. Texans could almost match that and it means more in TX than PA 5 year, 60M $20M SB, $30M guaranteed = $12M APY (with less taxes you could call that >$12.5M) Year 1 = $3.5M base (guaranteed) + $4M SB = $7.5M (guaranteed) Year 2 = $5.25M base (guaranteed) + $4M SB = $9.25M (guaranteed) Year 3 = $7.5M base + $4M SB = $11.5M (Texans could walk in Year 3 & lose $5.5M in cap space) Year 4 = $10.25M base + $4M SB = $14.25M (Texans could walk in Year 4 & gain back $2M in cap space) Year 5 = $13.5M base + $4M SB = $17.5M (Texans would most likely walk& gain $9.5M in cap space) Texans walk in Year 3 after back to back Lombardi trophies & Saquon pockets $28.75M. It ain't all my $$$ - just the cost of the jerseys I own.
Arik Armstead would be a huge get for us. Seems like we'd have an upper hand towards signing him too. Also, at running back, give me Swift and Dylan Laube in the sixth round. Laube reminds me a bit of a mix of a poor man's McCaffrey and Ekeler.
