When healthy is the key. He might need to take a flier contract to prove that he can start healthy if he ends up off the Chargers, which the Texans should(and prob would) offer such flier contract
Definitely. When you look up ‘injury prone’ in the dictionary his mug is starting right at you. So a 1-2yr low base very incentive based contract would be the smart thing. Getting him to sign with us wouldn’t be a problem since he can call his brother and ask about Demeco. FYI, Nick thinks the world of Demeco. Called him the best coach he’s ever had.
Welp. There goes my hope for drafting T’Vondre Sweat out of Texas in the 2nd Round next month lol. Good signing though, so long as they didn’t vastly overpay. Fatukasi is a pretty decent player. Not a star, but a solid rotational piece. He’s a 1-Tech so more of a big, run-stuffing NT who often comes off the field on obvious passing downs. He fills a big need for us though as we struggled mightily to stop the run vs the Ravens in the Playoffs.
The Bucs signaled this was coming when Mike Evans re-signed. They also had to pay Baker because their chance of winning the NFC South again is good. 2024 isn't the year for them to rebuild.
Losing Greenard is a big loss for this team. I am curious how they feel they can replace his production...
Pair him with a pass rushing DT like Wilkins and that line will be formidable even if they lose Greenard and have to find a more economical, or rookie pass rusher.
