Based on this chart, I think we are better off just re-signing Motor if he signs for less than $6M per year.
Swift is my 1B option the more I look at it. I think he’s built for the zone/one cut scheme like Slovik’s. He also is cheaper than Barkley. Barkley is better and can add something very dynamic to this offense, but I could see swift easily being most of the production with not as much cost
lol. Sounds like a move a hedge funder owner would make except the NFL isn’t the New York Stock Exchange.
So the more I look at it... Who was running behind elite / very good OL? Swift (PHI), Pollard (DAL - yuck), Edwards (BAL), Moss (IND) Who was running for their life? Barkley (NYG), Jacobs (LV) Count me in on Barkley, Swift, Motor
I'm fine with D'Andre Swift. He was very good at UGA and just caught a lot of bad breaks with the Lions. IMO, last season is very indicative of what he represents. The shine of RBs is totally gone for me unless it's a legit game-changer like Nick Chubb or CMC. Caserio should spend money on a DT, edge rusher and/or CB. P.S: Steven Nelson is OK, but he's not elite. Don't let the pick-6 on Flacco inflate his value for next season. (I must admit, it was a magic moment I'll never forget).
Lance Zierlein said Bobby was gonna run more a true outside zone scheme and that Travis Henry is perfect for that. 2/$10 per yr but everyone is saying RBs are gonna get low balled hard so he might be way cheaper. Motor and Travis would be a good two back RB platoon.
Zierlein ammended his opinion of this since the Texans are so often in the shotgun with Stroud. He said that Henry needs a buildup to the line of scrimmage and that he may not be optimal for what the Texans run.
Not bad when you consider he was drafted in the 4th round. My gut says Sneed will not be as good with his next team.
