Damn, so many FAs available and some good players in the draft that can fill some weak spots on our team. Texans have a good problem ahead of them with cap $ to spend.
Good people, I said this before the season ended: Caserio is going to plunder the secondary FA market. It will be glorious. The defense will have so much more talent and depth vs. last year it will be amazing. I still hope they sign a big name player like Christian Wilkins at DT because that's the most transformative move they can make. LOL, after free agency dies down, then we can really start hyperventilating about the draft. The NFL is the only league where fan intensity INCREASES after the season ends. There is no fatigue.
Here's overall PFF comparisons of some free agents to our guys. The difference in money they would sign for would be the key I guess. Curl and Dugger don't rate much better than Pitre by PFF ratings. I'm not sure how much those ratings accurately depict the player's overall worth though. Xavier McKinney / 87.8 Derek Stingley / 81.8 Jordan Poyer / 73.0 Geno Stone / 71.9 Kamren Curl / 66.6 Kyle Dugger / 61.7 Jalen Pitre 61.6
Plus would be a good signing and Clots & T!ts have cap room. That being said, if any AFC Souf rivals sign him, I hope he immediately decides to enjoy his new earned wealth rather than focus on football... lol
I don't dislike the Chiefs, but if someone gives them a 1st rounder for Sneed, the NFL just isn't fair. Sneed was very good this year, no doubt. However, at 18!, he was the 2nd most flagged player in the NFL (behind only the infamous Jawaan Taylor). He was in a class by himself among DBs. His playoff run blew the top off his value. If some team makes him the highest paid CB in the NFL, I believe they will end up regretting it.
