You know, behind every seccessful team there is a "bad boy", guys like Charles Oakley, Venon Maxwell, Kevin Willis, Karl Malone... to make sure their opponents dare not to throw elbows at their core players.

last year we had Francis, Cato and Oakley, enough to scare away those dirty players, but this year?
Yao? No, he doesn't know how to fight.
T-mac? No, We don't wanna see him get suspended.
    Howard? JJ? Sura?
    Mutombo? Ward? Lue?

Who is going to be our this year's "bad boy"?

Nachbar, of course... at least when he plays against Karl Malone. There was something so nice and heartwarming about seeing him scrap with Malone.

Why we need anyone to fight for Yao? I actually didn't agree
with Francis' action against Amare last season. He might have
been tossed for that. And Amare's celebration was just normal
    for NBA players and himself.

Maybe it'll be good not having anyone to fight for Yao. That's probably why he's so timid because everyone fights his battles for him. Let him stand up for himself for once and maybe he'll do it more often.

I've got Yao's back while he's on the court.

He needs to learn to do it himself.

What is Bobby Jackson trying to do in that video? Is he trying to hit T-Mac in the face or...?

Every team needs its players to back each other up. In the NBA, if you don't fight back, you get steamrolled. It is the way it has always been.

A guy that doesn't get enough credit for standing up for other players is actually Mo Taylor. I can't recall how many times I saw him get in the middle and get into it if needed.

Francis had some balls for a smaller guy, and I LOVED Boki's take to Malone.

I think the New Zealand game showed me Yao can stand up for himself, but is not comfortable in the NBA doing it. As he gets more comfortable, he's not going to let people showboat him.

If anyone tries to get rough, Jeff "The Enforcer" Van Gundy will wrench his leg off and BEAT HIM TO DEATH with it.

yeah he holds back when he's playing in against nba teams. He's gotten better over the last year or so, becaue we all remember his rookie year when he showed little/no emotion. Then he got alittle more comfortable and he started raising his fist and yelling abit. He yelled at Ratliff last year and i think that's a good start. Hey mind you, he yelled at ratliff in his rookie year and got a tech, so maybe it's just ratliff.
