He will be better individually, if not for injuries. Whether he will win championships will depend on what teammates he will have around him.
There is only 5 people in history to put that statline up. There was no need to only use players from 2020 to present, unless it was to intentionally avoid including James harden who ironically accomplished the feat in 2019. Very odd
Simply fantastic. Repeatedly going at Wemby and winning most of those matchups on both ends was beyond special. Nights like tonight are why I have no doubt about his future greatness. Ime keeps pushing him to great every night. We will see the fruits of it in coming seasons. My favorite win of the season.
@rocketchamp will avoid this thread until Alpi has a "bad" game. I would say he had a bad night with Sengun playing so well but TBH I am not sure if he even watches the games given his takes are so ludicrous. .
I believe this 45 point game by Alpi was the highest scoring game of a Rockets center since Hakeem had 45 in March 1997. For reference, Yao Ming's career high in points is 41. And Alpi is still only 21 years old. In his entire career, Hakeem scored more points than Alpi in this game 5 times.
