Boki helped Slovenian national team to demolish France in qualifiction game for European championship 2005. He had two monster dunks, some good defensive work in his limited minutes, but his outside shot was off.
Damn! What was he doing during the summer? I thought he should know that he need his shooting touch to impress JVG.

30 Minutes doesn't look limited to me. He had the second most amount of minutes. But based on the shots it looks like they were spreading the shots around the whole team.
Ups, my bad. I didn't look at the stats. I was at the game. He was on and off and he didn't get any rythm. So I got this wrong impression that his time on the court was shorter than that. One other thing. He was injured before this game and he had to skip a few days of practice.
What kind of injury? Nothing big i presume since he did end up playing. When is there next game so we can get new updates?
Slovenia is playing against Poland on Saturday. Boki had a big bandage in his knee, they didn't give any specifics about the nature of the injurie. He moved well, his speed vas good and jumping abilities were as good as ever. I think that there is nothing serious. Other notes of the game. Rasho Nesterovic looked terrible. He couldn't score at any range. Primoz Brezec (Bobcats) on the other hand had a GREAT GAME. He single handedly destroyed french centers on the both ends. He scored, he banged, he rebounded, he was all over the court. Another standout was Beno Udrih (Spurs). He played an incredible game. He was totally under control and he looked like he has all the experience in the world. I've never seen him playing this good. And he is doing it for 5 games in a row. He will be great addition for Spurs and perfect backup for Parker. On the french team nobody stud out. A lot of athleticysm a lot of high jumping, but to little basketball knowlidge. This guys can't buy an outside shot or a free throw for that matter. (Foirest is not included, he really can shoot)
boki had a knee injury all of last yr. Not sure what it was, but he always had a band around it, and when on the bench he always had one leg straight w/ something on it
I know it's not Pietrus, he's darker, Diaw's face looks like a 14 year old's face so it's not him either.
I think it is Tariq Abdul Wahad, the first French NBAer who got a monster contract a few years back that he never even came close to earning.
Hmmm ... I guess Tariq Abdul Wahad wasn't on the stat sheet according to the link provided above. But #5 on the roster doesn't look like the guy getting burned by Boki. I will stay with my Tariq answer.
Slovenia defeated Poland in their second qualification game. Boki was….crappy. About that picture above. This is an old picture. Boki has no bandage on his knee. Tariq Abdoul Wahad(spelling?) didn't play and French team had different uniforms.
Link to the game state vs. Poland Wow! Boki was 0/5 from the field in 16 minutes. And the Slovenia is 51.5% 2pt and 30.8% 3pt as a team. Boki is really hopeless right now.
It's really a matter of concern that Boki can't shoot. I hope his knee is ok. He needs to be fit for the training camp. When I hear guys like Udrih are doing so much better than him I feel frustrated and disappointed because Boki has more experience and still hasn't done anything impressive. I'm worried that this guy won't amount to anything in the future. Prove me wrong Boki.
Trying to be positive, I guess Bokki can back up JJ when we don't need too much shooting. Maybe if Boki, can slash and then pass well enough, he can act as point forward as T Mac takes on more of the scoring load when JJ goes to the bench This is a real bummer. At this stage if the guy can't shoot against the French, it may never happen at the NBA level. Maybe I am stereotyping him, but it just looks like his form is good enough to be a decent shooter.
