Btw, Melton is 2 years older and virtually the same scoring efficiency for his career as kpj who we got for less than Melton. Melton might be a better defender but kpj isnt awful and has 2 more years to improve to match.

Landry's Tooth is definitely a Fertitta family member with how defensive they have become. The Fertitta family are all over Houston, I knew some of them growing up in Kingwood, they also tended to be douchey like this owner.

In all seriousness, this is a huge offseason for the Rockets outlook over the next 5+ years. We’ve amassed a lot of good draft capital/pick swaps, and young, raw talent. Time to flip some of that for an all-star level player to headline this team. We can’t just improve another handful of games next year, and be satisfied. Keep holding on to these assets and losing, we’ll get stuck in this cycle and never get back to relevancy.

 

The big moves are pretty mediocre compared to other teams.

 

Nah they were pretty substantial. If you include every roster change that happened only Sengun, Green and Tate remained from Y1 of the rebuild. How that is mediocre I'll never know.

 

It looks substantial but it is still a result league.....if your end result is FVV and DB and Jeff could only get you to a borderline 9th or 10th place.....

I doubt it was that good, you probably wait just for the disgruntled star (that might have been a Harden type) that makes you a Top 6 or 8 seed.

The end result dictates precisely what you are going to be or what is on the agenda.

The internal growth talked by Udoker is not something that has been expedited according to plan, it is still the same mainly....minor improvements at best.

 

They got the result they wanted which is have some vet leadership. Getting to 10th place from 31st is pretty substantial and that's with the West was even more competitive this year than last year. Lakers with AD and Lebron healthy are struggling to get the 8th spot that's how tough the conference is.

The Rox don't need to bring in a disgruntled star they just need to have everyone healthy and for the kids to grow up. They were top 4 seed before injury bug hit them and Jalen Green started playing like ass.
