I’m all for pilfering OKC’s castoffs, but Poku sucks.

Not now but very soon, OKC will be waving talent because of all the FRP they have. FRP need roster spots.

He isn't very good and how would he get any minutes? I'd rather try to develop the players we currently have. Also, he wasn't a particularly high draft pick but OKC knew he wasn't going to work out for them so they cut ties. Maybe Stone could learn from this?

Come on DD - we took a look Aleksej Pokusevski - we didn’t like what I saw. - R.Stone/P.Fertitta

Come on STONE - sign Aleksej Pokusevski who Ime Udoka (rightly) won’t play!

    Ime Udoka on Aleksej Pokusevski:

That is a way better coach than IME.

Like Mo Bamba before him, you don’t sign non-NBA players because they are tall.

worked out pretty well for them. They were able to draft until they found their keepers which they are getting closer and closer to. Just like how they got rid of Mann last week who was the 18th pick

it's smart and gives them options even when they're already a damn good team now. Now comes experience and continued growth

Poku is absolute trash. He played heavy minutes when they were tanking for a reason and he was straight garbage.

As with Jalen Green and opposing GMs, Stone can just look at the years of game footage to assess Poku. But, most of the time I've seen him play he hasn't looked that great. If anything, this is more proof that there isn't much value in drafted players that don't pan out.

The big picture here is that OKC does lose on some draft picks they just set themselves up to draft enough volume that they hit on some more often.

Olivier Sarr would be a guy to take a chance on, but so was the guy we got in the Porter trade, but we cut him for the shitty minutes that Jeff Green is giving us.

Contract expires in a few months. He's never really shown much, but the end of our bench isn't very good, and he's somewhat of a big. I'd be okay with giving him a look I guess, but I would have no expectations from him whatsoever.

For those that say "Poku sucks" - I don't disagree with you BUT have you watched Jock Landale play basketball?
