My Judo Sensei Passed Away

    Another one of my Judo mentors passed away this morning. This is on top of another longtime Minnesota Sensei dying last weekend. My grad school roommate's mom died last week also.

    We're losing a generation of mentors and parents.

    One downside of getting old is the loved ones you have to put in the dirt. Unfairly, some I’ve buried were younger than me.

    That’s just one of the downsides. For those of us in Gen X we’re now seeing a lot of those who raised us and trained us passing away.
