We are 18-9 at home. The Pistons are 4-23. I hate that we suck on the road. But i am happy with how good we are at home.
Agreed on the poor shooting, but I was way happier with him this game than the last. He still turned it over a lot but also made a lot of things happen on offense. On defense he really needs to work on guarding stronger guys, because he was roast chicken against Bey early on. He plays with this kind of energy every game and I think all Rockets fans will at least give him a chance
Perfect example of how badly we need size/muscle underneath. I know we have Adams next year, and Alpi was out, but we got *****-slapped under the basket on every other possession. If you give the opponent 2-3 chances to score, especially layups and dunks, you’ll never be a serious contender. Nothing infuriates me more than playing good/decent defense for 22seconds, only to give up an easy put back to mediocre players who happen to be 6’9” or taller. FIX IT!!!
The classic Jalen experience. Score twice when the other team has stopped playing defense because the game is over. Then the next possession the other team plays defense - Jalen turns it over. 22 shots for 26 points. Load - not carried.
Those back-to-back blocks in the full court trap late in the 4th were such a dopamine hit. And then Dillon had to **** up our momentum by overplaying a quicker guard in Murray and compound that with an and-one weak foul. Stuff like this is why I’ll never worry about Bari. He’ll make things happen, shot or not. Just needs to go up stronger when he’s deep in the paint. Amen shocks me with how quick he gets in the air. Bari might not have that kind of supernatural explosiveness off his feet, but the attitude has to be there
Jabari defense is good (in help defense and perimeter, not so much in the paint one on one defense), but very limited in creating his own shot. And also streaky shooter. So when his shot is not falling, well, he seems like 2nd rounder tall energy guy. Lol
5 out of 27 from threes by the regular starters. That's 18%. Half of those began transition buckets for the hawks.
I think it’s one of the hallmarks of a young, improving team. Good at home and figuring it out (or attempting to, at least) on the road. I wanted that last season but we were trash both ways
Jalen had a okay game. You feel he need to make every game a disaster Jalen Green game where everything is his fault. Chill. The team lost. Green was like 10th on the list of why this team lost tonight. Not every night has to be you bashing him. More people are b****ing about him than these "stans" in your mind. Stop being schizophrenic and imagining things.
