So we wish he was a Rocket.

He's not as bad a Francis, but if he weren't a divison rival we'd be singin his praises like a mutha.

I agree with most of the post but what's this? I really don't think teams were bending over and opening the lanes for these guys. Also Darko couldn't score on open jumpers and broke his hand shooting one, he's as soft as they come. Lastly, Amare and Yao did have pretty good season as rookies, not "monster" but only Yao was tripled teamed :D :D

I don't think Carmelo had less talent around him than Lebron did. I'd take Camby(healthy)/Nene/A. Miller over Illgauskus/Boozer/McInnis, and Denver's bench was clearly better than Cleveland's.

The fairest way to do this is by change in wins from the previous season. That helps to offset the difference in conference strength. Lebron's team won 18 more games than the previous year. Carmelo's won 26 more games. However, Denver was completely revamped from the previous year. They added Andre Miller, strengthed their bench, and had a healthy Marcus Camby. Cleveland did much less revamping with only midseason acquisitions of McInnis and Eric Williams. Because of Denver's greater improvement in personnel, I don't think you can say that Carmelo helped his team win anymore than Lebron did.

For some reason, I think Larry Brown is the worlds biggest jack ass. He talks about playing the right way but he is the first to blame players when things don't go his way. He is quitter and is full of excuses. He lucked out that he inherited a team that won their division the last 2 years and then got a top 5 power forward for absolutely nothing. Even then his team almost lost to the nets coached by a rookie coach.

F*ck Larry "its everyone elses fault" Brown.

Syracuse whipped his former Kanasa boys for title. This goes way back. There was no way he was going to play.

I work in a major investment firm in NYC. The traders I work with make at least the same if not more than Anthony (and NBA players). Yes, I can relate my job to the situation you mentioned in your previous post.
Please don't think NBA players are god and they don't necessary make the most money in this world.

I never said they were God and I never said they make the most money in the world. I said they are hard to replace. So please don't put words in mouth. I know my last post was about how much money he makes but that's not the point. I don't even know why you guys are arguing with me. We see these athletes get away with everthing including one guy choking his freakin coach. I know you make a lot of money and that's great, but tell me how long you would be working in investment banking if you decided one day to choke your boss.

And my point isn't that just because they can get away with it makes it okay. just don't compare your job with theirs.

I hope he ends up like his predecessor, Alex English, a scoring champion with no rings to show for it. :D

I am begging to really dislike Carmelo.

He is officially heading to my black list.

He is a light-featherweight (cerebrally speaking). I am allegic to folks that fall into this category.

Any Glen "Big Dog" Robinson in the making. And score no substance.

melo will never be a scoring champion. He's not like Lebron - he can easily be contained by a Bruce Bowen or Ron Artest.
