Watching that Belgrade crowd reminds me of a debate I had with a complete idiot on the forum ~8-10 years ago about the global popularity of basketball vs. tennis. He actually believed tennis was more popular. I avalanched and humiliated him with evidence but he still would not admit being wrong.

 

Soccer World Cup atmosphere always good.

 

What this should tell you that American basketball fans in general are ****ing lazy, rather sit in their seats than be active during a game. Not their fault, but there's just a difference in culture in general. Notwithstanding the few crowds that do go nuts. The other side to it is that I've never been treated so friendly by opponents' fans than Knicks fans wearing my Rockets sweater after we beat them. Also during the game, people can just sit anywhere, fans of both teams mixed together. Don't try that in Belgrade or other places.

 

Idiots gonna idiot. Nothing you can do to change it.

 

That stadium probably reeks of body odor and cigarette smoke though.
