Houston offered "several" Nets picks to Brooklyn for Mikal Bridges

I'm sure the Rockets aren't the only teaming inquiring about Bridges, but I'd rather not overpay as the Nets more than likely want to be at least competitive. I see Bridges as a half measure, the type of player that makes us competitive but not a contender. That last push to contender is obviously the toughest part and I'd rather have more assets on hand.

You don't compete with a bunch of 21 year olds, we're years away from being truly competitive. Bridges will be an albatross contract by the time the rockets are actually trying to win

    Last 5 games...

    Bridges 8 stls 1 blk

    Green 8 stls 3 blks

    On the year...

    Bridges DWS 1.2 DBPM -1.0

    Green DWS 1.8 DBPM -0.7

So... Yes there's a difference

The Nets have a worse problem than everything you typed; the Knicks finally appear to know what they are doing.

I think people who aren't from NY don't understand how much NYers love the Knicks; it is worse than a Clippers-Lakers thing. The Clippers, while definitely second fiddle in LA, actually have a substantial fan base. The Nets do not. The Nets fan base consists entirely of Knicks fans who either could not make a Knicks game because they could not afford the tickets or the Nets were so good and the Knicks just sucked too much to waste time on.

That brief window the Nets had from 2019 through 2021 is gone now. They wasted it on Kyrie's mental episodes and KD's feminine mystique.

Yeah obviously it’d be a dumb hand to show your big love of a target so publicly. Amick was plugged in in the Morey era, but I’d give it a grain of salt. The Nets have zero leverage.

That would be now and it's clearly not. There are multiple suitors for him.

Of course, he’s just a horrendous fit for the rockets timeline wise. We have no use for him now and by the time we do, he’s an albatross

“Jalen Green centric deal” sounds like we don’t even have to include that many picks? Thanks Jalen for increasing your value this week!

I would hope so seeing he has like 6 years of NBA experience on Green.

You want to reach the heights of a first round exit this year to sacrifice ruining the rebuild? Are first round exits that important to you?

    I know.

I'm just informing you a player with 6 years experience on a 21 year old usually will be more consistent. I hope you absorb the knowledge.

I know. I just don't think his BBIQ will be any better after 6 years.

I don’t know why people don’t see that Bridges doesn’t make us a contender. He’s a player you ADD to a contender.
