Well, if we've hit on all six we won't have any trouble trading some for affordable role players and more picks.

Hang onto those picks. They could be in the lottery. Also, Bridges seems superfluous now with Jalen, Tari, and Cam taking up minutes at the 2 and 3.

Stone calls about nearly every player. At this point, Bridges has burned up a season's worth of value on a cheap contract. He's probably worth a FRP less than he was worth a year ago.

Granted, NBA teams routinely value Bird Rights very highly that it would be easy for a team to not realize they are losing value on a guy on his prime every day he plays for them in a year that is not a contending season. I don't think Bridges's Bird Rights are close to as valuable as he is as a player on the current contract, but I've often been wrong before on how NBA teams act.

If the reports are true a team offered 4 FRPs for Bridges last year, it will be very hard for Marks to admit he's worth much less than that this year. Stupid anchoring bias.

Sort of bad, sort of not bad. On one hand it could be considered a semi over pay and desperation move but on the other hand we have more than enough young talent to develop. Our current guys already don't get enough playing time. If we win now we can be more attractive in free agency and all around it's better. Drafting players is a higher risk higher reward type deal. You have to invest more into the players but in return you get them on amazing contracts and possibly develop loyalty to the team. Like others have said though I hope we don't do desperation overpays.

We need to focus on getting a 3rd string PG and backup center. The problem isn't that we need a whole bunch of players, its that the players we have keep getting hurt. I am fine with Stone trying to get guys as long as he doesn't lose sight of what we already have. Resigning Sengun is top priority.

Almost certainly they were top 4 protected, if not lottery protected. Vast majority of picks traded in the nba are protected, and given the state of the Nets right now I don’t see why this would be any different.

that's one option. But more likely 2 will be packaged for a superstar one day. We'll still need those picks.

This made sense in the off season before they signed Brooks.

Mikal put up some pretty good numbers when he was traded to Brooklyn. He was scoring 26 pts per game with good efficiency.

Going into that off season I recall there being a lot of chatter and desire to acquire him.

me neither, if he wasn't willing to pay the tax when we had harden(which is why he left), then what would make us think he'd do it now? he won't.

We offered several picks for Bridges like the Blazers offered Simons/3rd pick.

    Didn't happen.

Ben Simmons is back and they won big against the Jazz, so they have a big head right now. Things will get to normal when Ben Simmons exhausted his welcome in Brooklyn and started to destroy his team. Then, Nets will be regretting this decision because they won't be getting anything close for Mikal.

We got to trade this years picks because we got no roster space as we wait for the current crop to pan out or flop. Also this upcoming draft sucks.
