To get to that level of winning Bari and Tari have got to get back on the court and stay there really soon and Amen needs to be on the court for at least 20 minutes.
I would be surprised if we can go 24 and 14. Our schedule is relatively easy moving forward, but I still think we will probably be close to .500 the rest of the way. It would be nice if we could be two or three games over and finish the season at .500 or above, just as sort of a moral victory for the young guys and to give us a shot at the play-in, for what little that's worth. Even to do that, I think we need to upgrade the bench a bit and get/keep everybody healthy.

A near 40% chance currently for a top 4 pick is a gamble the Rockets should strongly consider. The Nets are not better than the Hawks or Raptors. Warriors are better and maybe even a injured Grizzlies team may be better than the Nets. The Nets pick could go to 6th from 8th currently that increases trade value. At worst the Rockets could package the 6th to 8th pick with Tate and future 1RP to move up to draft Alex Sarr.
Haven’t y’all learned over the prior three years to not get wedded to any draft prospect? Especially at this point.
The Net picks are really our only option over the next few years to acquire a player that has a better potential ceiling than Sengun/Cam/Amen/Bari. The 2024 draft might be “weak” but that opportunity extends through 2027. I think you can make an argument to trade the 2024 pick, but to me the ones past that are off the table unless the deal is insane. Id probably do 2024 Nets pick+2027 Rockets 1st+Jaken for Bridges but that is it.
If we keep the pick and end up in the 7-9 range who is the ideal selection? Dalton Knenct for a ready to go athletic SG or is that too high for a guy his age?
We don't need anymore developing players for the next 3 to 5 years.....let's trade our picks for NBA level players that can help and be here as our high picks develop. DD
I’m with you but if you get a chance to pick in the top 4 you always roll those dice because an Anthony Edwards is possible.
Sheppard is interesting but his lack of length and quickness seem like issues. He isn't much of a scorer either because he can't get into the paint even at the NCAA level
Couldn't agree more!! I have seen Reed Sheppard projected at #1 in a mock draft already Every game that goes by he adds to his resume. Tankathon runs a consensus mock, and they have him at #6 currently, so clearlythis stock has been on the rise. I won't be shocked to see him go top 4
I thought this was an interesting stat to Sheppard's credit. There's a whole bunch of NBA players in that set of players. That top 15 and top 30 has a pretty high success rate. I didn't recognize Maurice Creek. Googled him and he was stellar his freshman year but racked up multiple major injuries that he never could recover from. Maybe I'll watch Sheppard some more and change my opinion on him after seeing this. https://fansided.com/posts/2024-nba-draft-scouting-report-reed-sheppard Sheppard's BPM (13.7) ranks seventh among college basketball freshmen dating back to 2008. Only Zion Williamson, Anthony Davis, Michael Beasley, Kevin Love, Chet Holmgren, and Kyrie Irving land higher (h/t Jonathan Wasserman, Bleacher Report). He impacts the games both ways and his skill set appears imminently translatable. https://barttorvik.com/playerstat.p...r&year=all&minmin=10&start=-11101&end=all0501
