Oakland: Kaiser directs employees to stay in office at lunch over CRIME

How they gonna have food brought to them if Pizza Hut is firing all delivery drivers?

 

Ouch.

 

Oakland has been dangerous for as long as I have lived- but it’s definitely a bad look.

I guess my first question is when is Kaiser leaving Oakland? If it’s that dangerous, then they need to leave and move to somewhere safer.

My second observation is that Houston really isn’t much better, it has too high a crime rate.

My third observation is that these stories are airing a lot in the Bay Area and at this point the narrative that Oakland and San Francisco is out there locally. Eventually this belief is going to pick up support and there will be some political consequences locally in the Bay.

My guess is someone that runs on law and order and strict compliance will run and shockingly win. That person will be aggressive removing the homeless, offer incentives for businesses, have the police harass drug users - and they will be very popular for awhile… until people get sick of minorities and the poor having their rights violated and someone more leftist will get elected.
