When you look at how many times the Democrats and media have been caught lying to damage Trump -- 3 years worth of Russia collusion lies, Hunter's laptop, no voter fraud, covid origins, Feds involvement in J6, Feds involvement in Charlottesville, etc, etc... you'd have to be incredibly naive to trust the government and media's word on Trump accusations at this point. Yet here we are, with so many posters here blindly accepting the accusations against Trump with absolutely no evidence whatsoever. The E Jean Carroll case and the NY "fraud" case are the worst examples. Public confidence in the legal system shrinks with every one of these attempts to weaponize the legal system to "get Trump". Libs always go too far -- and this time it's damaging our country's once-respected institutions. The bedrock of order in our society -- the legal system -- is being turned into a political weapon by self-serving, reckless Democrats.
The reality is... trump isn't paying her... dufus maga trump supporters are paying her salary. And trump doesn't have a chance of winning, so her incompetence only feeds his complaining of how unfair the judge, jury, and legal system is to him.
The legal profession definitely works different than the architecture profession. It's material in our licensing exam and it's drilled into us that we risk our licenses doing stuff like that. Also it given competition in the field there are architects willing to turn in other architects and many code officials who have no problem calling out architects. This doesn't mean that there are no architects who behave unethically or illegally but its hard for me to think of architects doing so so openly and on projects that would garner a lot of attention.
Except that several courts have held Trump to account. He had to shut down his foundation after a judge ruled that it was defrauding charities. The judges in Jean Carroll case and the Trump business fraud case have already ruled against him. Appeals courts and USSC have rejected several of his previous claims to immunity and even executive privilege. Most importantly almost every court rejected his claims of election interference that would've affected the 2020 election. Currently I expect Trump to lose his claim of blanket immunity and in the other cases he's indicted on the evidence is heavily against him. If he can't delay them to the election and if he loses the election it is very likely he loses those cases.
I hope you are right. Yes, if he loses his election, he loses his power. Right now I don’t think they will allow him to be KOed before the election. He has lost lawsuits but it is has had little impact on him, and he has thus far survived. I compare it to a DUI driver getting 5 DUI…. He plea bargains down to fines. He lost, but what did he lose? He will still be driving drunk because the punishment hasn’t hurt enough.
He has survived and that’s largely due to he’s been able to grift off of his base to pay for his actions. That isn’t a matter though of that the courts aren’t punishing him. again also if the courts were so sympathetic to him his cases regarding election interference would’ve succeeded. Those were almost all quickly dispensed with.
E Jean Carroll copied her accusations from a Law and Order episode. Unreal. Liberals, like fools, still believe her!
LMAOOOOOO. The Georgia case just got torpedoed by the next-level stupidity of Fani Willis. And people wonder why inner cities across America are so horribly run -- she is the poster child for why. Incompetent, corrupt, stupid people running the show. My goodness this woman handled this poorly. There is a growing public crisis of confidence in our legal system thanks to people like Fani Willis, Judge Engoron, Judge Kaplan, Jack Smith, and of course Merrick Garland and Joe Biden. Their abuse and weaponization of the justice system to target political opponents has a MASSIVE cost.
The guy just can't stop himself. Donald Trump's Truth Social Posts Could Come Back To Haunt Him Jan 22, 2024 at 9:37 AM EST E Jean Carroll could sue Donald Trump for a third time for defamation, based on a recent press conference and his social media posts, a law professor has said. "Carroll can decide to sue a third time. She can seek punitive damages high enough to deter future such statements. She can do this even if her compensatory damages in a third suit would be modest or nominal," said professor Stephen Gillers, a law lecturer at New York University. Carroll's attorney has alerted a court to Trump's allegedly defaming comments at a press conference held on January 17. In her filing, Carroll's lawyer, Roberta Kaplan, wrote that Trump claimed to reporters that Carroll had invented her claims of sexual assault. Kaplan has already obtained a transcript of the press conference. Trump backed up the press conference claims with 30 posts about Carroll on the social media site Truth Social—again opening himself up to the possibility of a third defamation trial. A court has twice found that Trump had defamed Carroll. In the first case in May, 2023, a jury awarded Carroll $5 million for sexual assault and defamation. https://www.newsweek.com/donald-tru...t-press-conference-truth-social-posts-1862784
trump and his lawyer show so little respect for our legal system that they would lie and pull such a stunt so they could campaign and celebrate in NH... and of course, never held accountable. They are above the law...
