I don't think Marc Jackson is a stud either, but from what I've read and heard and seen, I do think he would be much better than Cato or Collier. Or as I've said before, he's what we hope Collier can become. And if he hustles like y'all say he does, then I guess you can look at him as a Carlos Rogers with a J and some bulk.

I would welcome the Rockets minus Dream plus Jackson and Griffin. At the least, it's more to speculate on how the team's style of play is for the upcoming year. Cause if Dream stayed, then we already know what they look like at their best, but now, it's up in the air.

Yep OP, what I said about him is pretty much everything that he brings to the table. His potential isn't very high, I mean he can develop some post moves, but that's about it. His low post game is mediocre- he prefers to spread the floor and shoot jumpers or drive to the hoop, but is willing to go inside and mix it up for offensive rebounds. That will free up some space in the post for Mo Taylor and Griffin, if Marc signs with the Rocks. He is a very tough player with a lot of heart and his work ethic is incredible, maybe Cato can learn something from him....doubtful though [IMG].

I started this thread on MARC JACKSON and he will be the only sole center that can fill in or atleast close to fill in Dream. I like what I hear!

i too am excited about the prospect of landing a legit center that will actually play and not whine. he is a hustler who is brings immediate chemistry to the rocks, most importantly he can run with the kids we have now and become part of a strong nucleus

    Jackson should be excited.

This guy is overrated, cannot block a shot to save his life, an average rebounder and a terrible defender.

He should be excited since the Rockets will overreact and give him a Maloney/Cato type contract.

Respect Hakeem's legacy. A championship in the hand is worth two in the bush!!

Jackson would make a good bargaining chip (if given a reasonable salary) down the road but I don't like his game.

Another thing is MJ is a young player. He would fit right into the mix. He reminds me of a more physical Rony Seikaly.

Very misleading. The article leads you to believe this was a quote after discovering that Hakeem is likely headed to Toronto.

I think everyone has viewed Marc Jackson as the consolation prize if we don't get Hakeem when we should be excited about the chance to get him. Stats aside, I listened to an interview he had on the Rome show, he talked about how playing overseas made him appreciate his second chance at playing in the NBA. Overall, he sounded like a real class act with good work ethic, I'd be happy if we could bring some ot that attitude to the team and the C position(Cato).

Odds are pretty good that we will be going gung ho for him, perhaps we should sign our free agents in the following order:

    Mo Taylor

    Marc Jackson

    Mooch

    Shandon

Shandon should be last, because Fegan knows we have some cash now that Dream is gone and you know he'll be going for the big cash for his clients.
