The team is hot... and they're playing the woeful pieroots.. but all three games scare me.

Oliver Perez is VERY good (think Carlos Hernandez... without shoulder problems... and with better stuff... yea, he's that good).

Josh Fogg has always had the 'Stros number.

And, game 3 has a pitcher they've never faced before, and normally that spells trouble (although recently, they've been rocking everybody... whether or not they've faced them before).

I hope Clemens can set the tone for the series by going at least 7 innings.

    Go stros!

    2 of 3 is a must.

We are much closer to being out of it than most people realize.

Got to bring the hot sticks home.

Did yall hear about the suspensions. Phil Garner -- one game, Wheeler -- three games, for their actions Sunday against the Cubs. (ESPNews)

    I think this is bulls***.

For the Cubs P Kent Mercker suspended 3 games.

Astros promote former first-round pick Burke

    September 2, 2004
HOUSTON (AP) -- The Houston Astros on Thursday recalled former first-round draft pick Chris Burke from Triple-A New Orleans, where he was the Pacific Coast League's rookie of the year.

The 24-year-old Burke appeared in three games for Houston early in the season and was hitless in five at-bats. In 123 games for New Orleans, he hit .315 with 16 home runs, 52 RBI and 37 stolen bases.

Burke was the Astros' first-round selection in the June 2001 draft. He was expected to be in uniform Friday night when Houston begins a three-game series at home against Pittsburgh.

    Key to the series...

    - Bagwell and Kent stay hot (especially Kent) = total of 2-3 runs a game.

    - Anything Beltran and Berkman give should be considered standard production = total of 2-4 runs a game.

    - Someone steps up every game (i.e. Vizcaino, Lane, Ausmus...) = total of 1-2 runs per game.

Sum = total of 5-9 runs per game.

I think it's safe to say that I'm back on the bandwagon!
