No way. If anything, PED's preserved his body and allowed him to play longer. Same with JJ. Both those guys bodies were already breaking down by their mid-late 20's. PED's gave them way more games than they took away tbh.
Will be at the game! The last playoff game I went to was when we lost 21-7 to Andrew Luck and the Colts. I also went to the playoff game before that when Brock Osweiler, the great, beat the Raiders (who were down to their 3rd string QB).
To make sure everything goes according to script, I'm sure. A CJ Stroud Playoff run would do numbers for the NFL. Make it happen Roger!
There is zero evidence of JJ ever using steroids. Don’t make **** up about the greatest Texan of all time like that
Listen brother... I hate to break it to ya, but there's no evidence that the vast majority of NFL, baseball, basketball, or hockey players use PED's, yet a huge chunk of them do them. Even professional golfers and tennis players use PED's these days. Let's not be naive about this. PED's are rampant in ALL professional sports right now and have been for a while. It's a pretty poorly kept secret. Hell, tons of high school kids do them regularly these days. PED's aren't just about putting on muscle or running faster (though they certainly help with those things too too), they help significantly speed up recovery time from injuries, both small and significant. That's why most guys use them. And I'm not just talking about anabolic steroids either. Athletes use much more advanced PED's these days, like EPO's, growth hormones, testosterone, peptides, SARMs, SERMs, blood doping, Smart Drugs and new genetic therapies. NFL's PED testing is incredibly easy to bypass by design. The league doesn't care because they're getting good entertainment out of it and profiting Billions. Football has never been more profitable than it is today, why would they mess with it? The owners don't care. And most modern PED's are so advanced that they're out of your system within 24 hours anyways. Legit. Every North American sports league has to pretend to care about steroids/PEDs, but the truth is they don’t. In the NFL, they tell you when the drug tests are going to happen. It's not really as random as you think. The players that get caught are the ones that are stupid, period. The league catches just enough players to keep up the appearance that they are running a clean operation. Bottom line: These professional athletes are fighting for their livelihoods. There's too much at stake. They have to take care of themselves and/or their families for life, and their careers are typically short-lived, so they do whatever they need to do in order to continue to perform at a high level and get as large of a contract as possible while they can. Pat McAfee and AJ Hawk had an episode on their podcast a couple years ago regarding PED's. They talked about the insane effects of HGH on the mind and body and how it makes you almost superhuman compared to when you're not on it. Here's an article on former NFL players talking about how rampant HGH is in professional sports, and this was from almost a decade ago: *Edit* - It won't let me post the link, but if you just Google "Players say the NFL has an HGH problem" then you'll see it. It's a Bleacher Report article. The most important quote from this article is this one:
If you want to make that claim that’s fine, but then it’s an even playing field for all involved. Baseless claims about an individual, specially one of the Mt. Rushmore athletes of Houston isn’t cool.
They're not baseless when the majority of the NFL are using them though lol. That's my point. You're taking this as me hating on these guys. I'm not hating whatsoever, I love both JJ and Cush immensely. Literally 2 of my all-time favorite athletes, and probably my two favorite Texans players ever. But the bottom line is you'd have to be pretty naive to think Cush was the only one taking these PED's during his tenure here. JJ put on 70+ lbs of muscle from 18 to 21 years old... Come on now. Anyways, I'm not here to argue about this, I was merely making a point about these drugs help people more than they hurt. I don't care that most the guys use them because like you said, it's mostly an even playing field. Now let's get back to talking about the game on Sunday, shall we? Go Texans.
18-21 on a weight gain program, 70 lbs is fairly common. I have athletes that gain 20 lbs of lean muscle in a year all the time (without steroids) I don’t disagree that they’re advanced and are more beneficial than most realize. As you said, back to Texans football
Those pictures are not from 18-21 are you kidding me? JJ had his own brand by then? He had a blond buzz cut most of that year.
