So, this cockroach entered my home last night through the front door area I think. It was doing some kind of victory dance. I whacked it with a kitchen towel, roach went flying, and I trapped it under a cup. The roach seemed fine. I then slid a small stack of paper under the cup and roach. I tossed the roach about 16 feet out the front door. I assumed it would run off. But, it seems to have died when it landed. It was around 36 degrees at the time. So, did the roach die from going from warm to cold? Or, was it a delayed onset from the towel whack? I was trying to give the roach an opportunity to seek shelter elsewhere. Oh well. I’m going to conduct an autopsy here. Edit: Autopsy results: He seemed a little deflated with his legs spread apart. There was internal damage to its organs. No noticeable ooze squirting out pre-autopsy. The cold accelerated his death from internal injuries. He was fine while inside, though, and might have lived. Cardiovascular disease was a factor. Sorry, cockroach.
Yeah...it's cold. It will get back above freezing sometime on Wednesday, yet the lows b/t now and then are not as low as I saw this morning (12-14) I wish these stupid meteorologists would quit changing the weather around
