I am fine with trading him, or keeping him, but letting Cam eat into his minutes when he is off, whichever is playing better plays more.

    Let the best player win.

Green shot 42% from 10-14 ft last year and 44% 15-19 ft. His overall mid range was 39% because they included long 2’s (20-23 ft) which he shot poorly last year.

He is only shooting 31% overall in mid range this year and 37% 10-14ft and 30% 15-19 ft. A steep decline. But again we need to look at root causes instead of surface analysis. He played in a different offense last year as he was featured with different sets and looks including pistol action with Sengun pulled out of the paint or 5 out and more isos. This year is heavy 2 man FVV and Sengun. Also heavy low and mid Sengun post. FVV also dominates in touches and actions have been away from Jalen. The past few games we see more wing dribble handoffs to Green to attack. We have seen some 5 out action and Jalen off PNR with Sengun where he gets open looks at that 15ft J.

Last 8 games he shot 59% from 15-19 ft. He shot 60% inside restricted area and 62% within 5ft in this span which is an area he needed improvement in from last year. He shoots overall 57% inside RA this year which is 2% increase from last year. He needs to get this number in the 60s.

He seems to be getting the ball at different spots within past 8 games:
-as main PNR handler with Sengun
    -off of wing handoffs
    -iso on wings
-high screens from FVV in 5 out sets with Sengun in corner

I think Udoka has been creating sets to get Jalen more driving lanes and playmaking opportunities rather than setting up in the corner or a 3rd option seemingly out of place. Hopefully we will see Udoka continue to give him looks and he continues to play well and get more comfortable with this offense.

So can’t trust dude against good teams, on the road and in a close game. Why is he still here? He only shows up when we’re down 15 and the pressure is gone. It’s why he has his best games in those situations. This is not a skill issue, it’s a mindset. Guys like that rarely get to the level they are projected to.

This kid needs to go. Package him and Tate for a backup big and a backup point.

I wonder how many other players have multiple games with more turnovers than field goals made.

Hopefully you go too when Jalen does.

Jabari Smith never gets called out by this Dumb Fan Base. He was terrible too.

Jalen Green hater only this Year, Jabari Smith is a bust Last Year Narrative, Hater Fans on Jabari Smith are missing this year.

Ime Udoka Rotation has been horrible throughout. Not giving minutes to Cam Whitmore and Amen Thompson if either Jalen Green, Jabari Smith struggle.

You missed my comments but it was mostly about him barking at Sengün.

I do agree he seems better at home than away. I didn't like his defensive effort tonight (didn't like anybody there tonight tbh)or his lack of shooting(nearly the entire team besides fvv was ice) but it's not like he was a zero out there or not contributing in other ways.

People just have a love to hate relationship with Jalen.

I am consistent, I have been saying that since draft day, if he ain't scoring big or shooting good numbers, he is not doing much.....

He has improved to the point of being mediocre instead of being awful fundamentally.....but it is likely not good enough for being a contender.

I can agree, but the goal is to "grow" into a contender, not be one right now.

Jalen has shown all the signs of growth and transformation from being a losing player into a winning player.

Is it enough yet? No. Is he done growing transforming? No.

He still has a lot of growth he needs to make. But the growth he's taken in all areas of the game is encouraging to me.

He still is inconsistent shooting and i want a better handle. But they weren't as important to me before this year, or now, as being able to be respectable on defense and facilitate better.

IMO hes gone from a 2/10 on defense to a 5- 6/10 on average. While his facilitating has gone from a 2/10 to a 4-5/10. His rebounding has improved and his awareness has gotten better on both sides of the ball.

It's not insane growth like we got from alp, but it does fix what was, imo, his biggest issue of being useless when he wasn't scoring.

Right now he's a high end role player for us and being treated as such. He was 4th in shot attempts and cold. When he's hot he gets more. When he plays badly he gets benched. But hes typically 3rd in line behind sengun/fvv, rightfully so.

Bottom line is, he's growing and improving. I hope for more growth and wish it faster. Udoka and his staff have already improved him so much from a fundamentals standpoint that I'm excited to see how much more they can unlock.

Not just for jalen but all the young players.

Jabari doesn't get the same hate because he's in year 2. If Jabari regresses in year 3 and plays like a bum, this fanbase is gonna be on him every night.

Jalen is in his contract year and no sane fan wants Stone to pay him a big extension.

Yes, to an extent but I am thinking growth is not enough.....

Jalen Green's growth is micro level......we need more on the macro level as well.....

Sacramento's growth only led them to 30-32 W games, given we have Udoka but we need to ramp up with trades and other means......

There is not another way, Stone is acting like a worker who has ticked off boxes and can relax, he needs to be on the phone constantly.....

    Just a very content GM.....

Honesty a lot of the discourse on Jalen is pretty fair, both for and against (obviously I’m on the “for” side) and I think as long as he continues to have ok games where there’s stuff for both sides to make an argument with, he’s at least doing his job to some extent.

During that dismal December stretch it was really difficult to keep my optimism up, as much as I tried. But now he’s sort of normalizing into a still-developing and very warty but interesting young player. I’m ok with that, even if the improvements have only been incremental up to this point. I wouldn’t want to trade him now, but again, I respect the other side of the fence, too.
