C'mon now Cohen. Glynch was against sanctions but he didn't want war! He wanted Saddam to stay in power...
And we should use our nation's strength to help liberate other peoples from tyranny and oppression ... unless the President has other reasons to go to war ... or the UN says 'no' ... then we just let'm suffer.
I was looking back at the Pew Survey Sam posted, and was wondering: Support for the War on Terror is inching up in places like Morocco and Turkey. The survey didn't speculate why, but it would fit in with my proposal that terror attacks within Muslim countries is driving down support for AQ like groups within the Muslim populations themselves. Thoughts? (It would be ironic if Sam has given positive data to my theory, lol)
Basically Hayes, you are consistent. The policies you advocate always kill Iraqis. Kill them with sanctions. You supported that. Kill them in an invasion that they didn't want. You supported that. (Note after tens of thousands were killed, what could they do but take the good , Sadam's remvoval, as consolation for the killing, looting and increased poverty and hardship the invasion caused.) Kill them during the occupation, which the majority oppose. You support that. Like. Bush I guess you are proud of your consistency.
Or we could just let the rest of the world get into fights that drag the entire planet into a world war....oh wait, we did that twice already. DD
