We don't know what law enforcement officers think or what their ideological beliefs are, if any, but we do know one thing: they were there doing their job. To these lawless MAGA nutjobs, anyone doing their job for the government who isn't aligned with their dear leader is fair game for attacks. Trump has promised that he will take this to the extreme if he's back in office, getting rid of everyone in the executive branch who doesn't kneel down to him. This is 100% authoritarian behavior. But MAGA folks love it, disguising it as getting rid of the "deep state" and being too stupid to realize the danger of handing all power to one man.
