After exactly two and a half years. Meanwhile, two years of a potential All-Star and All-NBA player were thrown away. I don't like her and her husband who is trying to build this team around Jalen/KPJ and even trying to get Brook Lopez in this summer to get rid of Sengun. I don't believe in their sincerity either.
I don't know them, they might be perfectly nice people (or not). I think his interviews are boring, but whatever. While I think they should clearly have prioritized him much sooner and his current performance proves that, it seems inevitable now. So I'm fine with them, as long as they now do what's best for the team I support, which is to build around Alpi. Let the past be the past.
I had no idea that that's what his name means: It is written. No wonder he is so happy! And he makes true basketball connoisseurs happy.
I feel like @Ankara1923 Okay so, ALP-ERENs are more like WARRIOR-MONKs...that is why they say it is masculine...Also, my daughter's name is Eren, which originally means enlightened one, hence a monk. EREN is considered a male name because historically they are males. These are old old terminologies, not really names but over the centuries, people started to use them as names
I also think alperen refers to warrior monks. He is a warrior for sure. But his Monk part explains why he was praying the ball before free throws.
I have an employee called Eren (Turkish dude based in London). Also, an Israeli employee called Eran.
His FT shooting has been much better after he stopped praying. That's why he should be a basketball player and not a monk.
Was Rockets blind, ignorant, lucky that came on top with Sengun situation last summer? Bobby Marks thinks they were lucky! I think...
You gotta relax with this gatekeeping man. Feel free to shame people who refuse to admit their mistakes but anyone that wants to 180 and get on board should be welcomed with open arms. Not everyone sees the game the same way, people make mistakes.
I agree. But for those who would have wanted to know, they could have known, more than two years ago. I am friends with some pro football (soccer) players back in Germany. They would sometimes tell me about some young talent being so good in practice that they just knew he was going to become a star. When Mario Goetze was 16 or 17, he was destroying the pros in practice at Borussia Dortmund...one of their players called my Bayern friends and said, this guy is gonna be really good. Obviously, he didn't become better than Messi, for various reasons, but he ended up scoring the winning goal in the World Cup 2014. Well. Look at this, and the date the interview was posted. Even KPJ's (otherwise, judging by his now deleted Twitter presence, not very smart) uncle said in one of his tweets that Sengun is the most talented guy on the team. "The front office" and certain important fans somehow didn't fully seem to draw the conclusions they could have drawn, before Udoka and FVV came on board. To still deny just how good he is AT THIS POINT just means putting stubborn pride above what is obvious to anyone who knows ball in the league.
