With a fully healthy team he may not get minutes, but he deserves to practice and travel with the main squad and learn from the vets. Not sure if scoring lots of points in the G league has any value at this point. In the second half of the season let him learn to be an NBA pro.

Cam is an iso guy, but he is more NBA ready for his role off the bench than Amen Thompson . Amen 's jumper is still pretty shaky.
This really depends on how long Brooks is out. Hard for a player to prove one's worth if they aren't playing in the rotation. If Brooks's injury gives Cam minutes in rotation to prove himself with the team, there is a chance he forces his way into the rotation. That said, I expect Tate and/or Holiday will be traded within about a month.
Sudoku’s praise is a watershed moment here. The Question was: is Cam the type of talent - like T-Will/VonWafer/Alfonzo Trier - that coaches just flat out hate? Hearing a strict coach like Sudoku giving such praise, it kinda moves us beyond that point. The kid just needs to keep his head down and keep working and listening to the coaches. The future is super-bright.
True but next yr Amen will be a different player. Last off season, he couldn't shoot at all, now you can see him developing. With his mental prowess, athletic ability and skill set, he is going to be scary
I still can't believe we got them both. I thought it was going to be either/or at the #4 and a hard decision. To get someone with Cam's potential at #20 is unbelievably lucky.
I'm hoping Udoka can carve out more minutes for Cam. There are many times this season that Jalen Green has not played well and he is reduced to below 25 minutes and Holiday gets those minutes. Holiday's minutes needs to be cut when he isn't shooting well either, because he seems to be a negative otherwise trying to do too much. Cam needs more minutes.
Small gripe, \Cam can iso, but he hasn't been getting his buckets by iso'ing. He moves well off ball where he can catch the ball and make or move or two and score, and is also good in catch and shoot situations. That is pretty much exclusively how he's played since he's been with the Rockets. He has not iso'd much at all.
Ime needs to slash Tate’s minutes and give them to Cam and Amen needs to take Holiday’s minutes. Holiday really do not need to play and we are very comfortable with Cam and Amen coming off the bench. Also, limit Fred minutes from 37 minutes to 30 minutes per game. We need Amen and Cam to play 20-25 minutes per game……make it happen Ime
That's because Udoka is telling him to operate that way to get minutes - I feel like he mentioned this in a post game presser somewhat recently. Cam's first instinct is to ISO but Cam's passing instincts out of those situations is still very "pre-meditated" so in order for him to get playing time, he has to play in this team concept and frankly, it's really good for him.
