Hindsight is 20/20: Post some past takes on Alperen Sengun which may not have hit the mark

Why would you when the rockets have FVV and not kpj. The whole idea was a plausible scenario to find a backcourt next to green. Well we now see green struggles with a pg like FVV. Nobody knew FVV was going to be a rocket a year ago

he had the potential just like any of the other young guys. Hes now separating himself while having a real pg like FVV. What was said in 2022 doesn’t exactly apply to present day

 

A best player doesn’t actually exists on a 20
Win team. You’re actually still trying to figure that out hence the pathetic 20 wins. All anyone can hang their hat on is potential this and potential that. I’ve always maintained that for the last several years of terrible basketball. Eventually guys separate themselves if you’re translating to wins and that’s what we’re seeing from sengun, bari, tari

It’s between FVV and sengun as of today. FVV drives this team and makes life easier for sengun. Hence why the ball is in his hands so much and why he leads the team in minutes by a wide margin. FVV is the best thing that has happened to sengun so far in his career. I don’t think there’s a wrong answer here. Both are vital in their own importance on this team
