Bingo. An "only fan" isn't necessarily a bad thing. Hell, I started life as a kid being an MJ only fan before I learned to appreciate the game. A myopic poster that's poisoning the well is something else, though. It only takes a handful of these types to sour the batch. It's unfair but it is what it is. Just put them on ignore and move on. I would note that this is very similar to what happened during Linsanity, so maybe there's some PTSD at play here with those who've been around the block. That is in no way comparing Lin as a player to Sengun, just the activity of some of his irrational fans.

I seriously doubt any Rockets fan possessing decent basketball acumen is doubting Seguin at this point. There were initial valid questions about potential weaknesses but it looks like they've mostly been put to rest. He's getting better and better and we're lucky to have him.

pff those clowns...I don't care what ESPN types say about Sengun. I don't think they really watch the games...I am more interested in what the local guys like Frank (especially Frank!!!!), Jackson Gatlin, Bradeaux and Will, etc say about Sengun

I was looking at past mvps and honestly winning the MVP award in a top 3 European league at 18 yo is almost unheard of.

Spanish League is probably the best European League. The past mvps and their ages:

    Shermadini 33
    Dzanan Musa 23
    Shermadini 31
    Mirotic 28
    Laprovittola 28
    Doncic 18
    Llull 29
    Bourousis 32
    Reyes 35
    Doellman 28
    Mirotic 22
    Panko 34
    San Emeterio 28
    Splitter 25
    Reyes 28
    M.Gasol 22
    Scola 26
    Navarro 25
    Scola 24
    Nocioni 24
    Herrmann 23
    Beard 30
    Roe 29
    Middleton 33
    Beard 27
    Bodiroga 24
    Green 30
    Anderson 29
    Sabonis 30
    Sabonis 29
    Middleton 26
    Middleton 25

Only 1 out of 32 players were under 22 years old. Doncic and he was 18.

    Turkish League

    Tyrique Jones 25
    Alpha Kaba 25
    Sengun 18
    Marei 27
    Mejia 35
    Shumpert 26
    Solomon 26
    Tunceri 25
    Moerman 28

List goes on. I don't remember anyone younger than 25 winning it.

That's why if you read anywhere on internet that a teenager is killing it in Europe and he is under 20 you be damn sure that he is a unicorn. Euro coaches generally dgaf about youngsters unless they are otherworldy good. They generally play American vets over unproven kids and those vets average 20 ppg so you kinda have to play them. A 18 yo kid averaging 20 ppg should tell you that he can go toe to toe with grown men meaning he is strong if he is playing 5, has A+ athleticism if he is a s.guard and i'm not talking about verticality. He can outsmart players much older, much experienced than him meaning he has high bbiq. He is mentally strong, is confident in himself. He probably doesn't turn the ball over a lot because if he is a turnover machine he will not get those chances since coaches are not patient there. There is always an immense pressure on them (fans, president) so getting the win is more important than letting a kid grow. So you are drafting a complete player with high upside.

There was a poster in this forum wanted Luka Doncic to apologize for being drafted earlier than Trae Young. Very different mentality. Likely I put him to ignore list.

Also seeing Bodiraga there and remembering how much NBA audiences missed is painful. What a player he was.Pity.

Nah if your center is a literal post god, can make midrange shots and distribute the ball he is your cornerstone. Bet your house on him turning into a 35% shooter from the perimeter next season. I think he's a better version of Sabonis at the moment he is at somewhere between Sabonis and Jokic.

"We're watching it unfold in front of our eyes." - FVV on the rise of Alpi.
That's the floor general. It would be like George S Patton putting in a word.

    Freaking monster.

Udoka calling Alperen plays like he is a fullback hitting the 2 hole. Old school running football ass ****.
