It didn't even look like Uncle Jeff was supposed to play last night. Landale is so bad that he forced that decision in the 2nd half. But when Uncle Jeff plays his spot minutes he definitely finds his ways to be a contributor. he immediately made a difference after coming in for Landale
I'm just happy we got one top 2-3 talent from his class (Sengun) and two top 10 talents from theirs (Jabari & Tari) plus still some unknowns with whatever Green, Amen, and Cam end up being. That's not a bad outcome from tanking for a few years.
He's becoming my favorite guy on the team. He's good with the media, obviously a great teammate and generally a fun player to watch. And that's on top of his great play this season. He gets some insane steals and is a pest on defense. He also energizes the team and is starting to show some touch fom outside. I don't know for how long (if) Dillon will be out, but it could be an opportunity for Tari to seize the starting gig.
What I love about that is how he gets so many steals from people off rebounds trying to start the break without any tricks - he just runs up and takes the ball directly from people and players are never expecting it. Everyone decides to run back and Tari is picking up the defense 94 feet from his basket and making players work for all the way up to court. he really is just a heat seeking missile seeking out the ball regardless of where it is on the court.
and getting offensive rebounds after his own missed layups but that's a great thing he never gives up man has a ton of heart
